Volunteers, Committees and Organizational Chart
In order to ensure that we provide a good deal of benefit for our membership dollars, we will need to establish committees to help build the organization. There will be a need for chairpersons and members of those committees, as well as an advisory board. You can view the initial organizational chart and committee opportunity listings here.
Vendor Membership Offers Extended and Tangible Benefits
Vendors are important participants in any association. The Two Rivers REIA is no exception. Our members enjoy learning about products offered from say, "ABC Discount Flooring Solutions" yet we charge a fee for the privilege. Vendors must join before they will be offered the opportunity to provide literature or to do a presentation. We ask that vendors not distribute business cards, property flyers, etc. during meetings until they have, at least, paid membership dues.
Should a Vendor wish to participate as both a member and a vendor, we ask that they elevate their membership status by paying the $100 bump-up fee. This is fair to those Vendors who have made their annual dues investment if you have not. Realtors, attorneys, CPA's, contractors, building materials suppliers, property wholesalers, retailers, investing gurus -- all have a story to tell - about their company, their services and/or their products -- and usually something to sell. We want to hear that story, especially if it can help us save money, yet we charge for the privilege.
Vendors who support our organization may earn the right to be the sole vendor at an investor's expo, or at a minimum, receive preferencial treatment for booth or exhibit space. We expect our Two Rivers REIA of Central Iowa will grow over time, which should provide a cost effective audience for our Vendor members to present their products or services.
Does that sound fair? We knew you'd have no problem with that policy. Party on. |
