Welcome to the Internet home of Two Rivers Real Estate Investors Association (TRREIA) of Central Iowa. At every meeting, we offer multiple opportunities for education, networking and even a little coaching, to help our members keep up with continual changes in the industry. See our Meeting Calendar for details. If you're new to this group, we hope you'll plan to attend our very next meeting!	We began our 6th year in October. That would not be possible without our loyal members and our many guests (who later became members!) As an affiliate of the National REIA since October 2006, we are part of a huge network of over 200 groups with 40,000 individual members. National REIA provides the big picture framework to help us attain local, regional and through them, national goals. Each year, we have at least one major conference. Featured at our 2011 Conference were Alan Cowgill, Steve Cook, Roberta McAfee/Mark Tilton, and Mark Pantak. Each provided great ideas, tips and tricks, as well as practical advice to help real estate investors survive, even thrive, during these challenging economic times. It is our goal to offer at least one, premiere Real Estate Investor's conference in Central Iowa each year -- in addition to our 12 informative meetings.
Our "Power-of-30" Promotional Contest results (for our 2011 Conference) are in. Designed to encourage members to reach out to everyone, and to practice networking skills essential to building a Real Estate Investing business. Our 3rd Annual Conference is behind us. It started Friday morning, with two different speakers and a reception in the evening. Saturday we featured two nationally recognized speakers, a luncheon and awards banquet for our contest winners, vendor displays and interaction in the early afternoon, followed by a bus tour of rehab houses from 2-5. Speakers were picked specifically because of the indicated interests of our members, through a year-end survey in 2010.	Here are our winners -- Congratulations!!! Craig Campbell - 136 pts - Grand prize, Alan Cowgill's "Private Lending Made Easy" program and a 4-day Boot Camp. This year, while we were 19 attendees shy of our attendance goal to award the Cruise, Craig still won BIG! with free admission to Alan's Bootcamp, and Alan's Program - valued at $997. Woo Hoo -- way to go Craig! We had additional winners, who chose prizes in order of placement in the contest: *Steven Ames* - 125 pts - $100 Gas Card K&G Brent Cox - 117 pts - $100 Gas Card K&G Darrin Mylenek - 112 pts - $100 Gift Certificate to Urbandale Golf & Country Club Roberta McAfee - 104 pts - $100 Gift Certifcate to Bass Pro Shops - Outdoor World

Fees: Saturday Meetings - Currently no charge though donations are accepted and appreciated! Tuesday Meetings - $5.00 Meeting fee to Members, $15.00 to guests. Pizza provided. Members eat free when you bring a guest! You can eat for $5 bucks, hear informative speakers, sharpen your RE investing skills and network with like-minded peers. You can't find a better bargain in town! (Membership rates subject to change annually. Meeting locations and fees may change -- at any moment! Always check your email prior to meetings, which is how we keep members informed).
	About Two Rivers REIA of Central Iowa Two Rivers REIA Mission is to provide: 1) Education on most every area of residential RE investing 2) Networking opportunities with like-minded peers. 3) Mentoring with RE investors who have been through it all and are happy to give something back to others! Our Central Iowa Investor members include investors at all experience levels -- eager beginners, semi-pros, and seasoned veterans -- many of whom seek to hone their skills in one or several areas of RE investing. Many of our member have experienced the ups and downs of real estate cycles. Collectively, we have hundreds of years of investing experience. Many are willing to share this experience just for the asking. Membership is nominally priced. See our membership page for more info! Members agree to abide by our Code of Ethics. The association structure is an LLC while the bylaws are a work in progress.
	MARKET & MEETINGS UPDATE: Spring 2011 It's incredible! Constantly changing BUYERS market but with excellent interest rates; lender requirements are off the chart difficult, and ... we need to find new ways to fund deals, attract buyers, do lease/options, rehab for profits, etc. All the more reason to attend meetings! What if you could meet with dozens of investors in one room, and just one idea someone mentioned would either help you close a money maker, or prevent you from making a major mistake? This is why being a member of Two Rivers REIA (Real Estate Investors Association) can be so very helpful! The power of networking with other like-minded investors cannot be overstated. We've recently implemented a more disciplined meeting agenda, including our "deal-a- minute" time to share properties and opportunities! Check out the schedule -- today!
